Wyndham Park's new buildings and features

Heritage Lottery

Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund Project

In 2016, South Kesteven District Council and Wyndham Park Forum secured £818,000 of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and BIG Lottery Fund to create one of the best public parks in the East Midlands.

How will the grant be used?
The grant will help us to improve and preserve the facilities, features and heritage of Wyndham Park- reflecting the original design intent as Grantham's World War One Memorial Park.

Who helped to inform our approach?
You did. Since 2013 local people and visitors to the park have been involved in determining what features and facilities should be improved and preserved. Historical records and photographs were used to inform the design of our reburbishment plans.

When can you expect to see work starting?
Initial works should begin in September this year.
