Further to an application for Heritage Lottery Fund 'Parks for People' funding, South Kesteven District Council and the Wyndham Park Forum are delighted to have received notice of their success in securing the funds required to refurbish Wyndham Park and deliver a comprehensive park-based programme of events over the next three years. The funding amounting to £818,000 will enable us to deliver a project designed to preserve the park for future generations to enjoy. It will allow us to develop a new visitor centre, a volunteer hub, refurbish the buildings, introduce new horticulture, provide volunteer opportunities, deliver an events programme and offer the community an opportunity to learn about this important memorial to the Great War.
Our aspiration is to create one of the best public parks in the East Midlands with lasting Green Flag status and a reputation for good visitor experience. There will be opportunity for visitors to participate in recreation, relaxation, events, volunteer activities and learning about the heritage of the park, site ecology, horticulture and associated subjects.
